The way to be
victorious
Is by the sweet
and full surrender
To Christ who
gave Himself for us
To be our Ruler
and Defender.
Though we were
once like driven cattle,
Unmindful of
eternity,
The Lord rose up
for us in battle
And gave His
life to make us free.
The light has
shined with saving favor
To give us vision on our path
To give us vision on our path
With strength received
from Christ our Savior
Who has delivered
us from wrath.
Lord, thank You
for victorious vision
You give, as
when You heard those cries
The thief had
raised, with true contrition,
And found
himself in Paradise.
