His Holy Hill

“Bring me unto Thy holy hill… then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy” (Psalm 43:3,4).  “Whom having not seen, ye love; in Whom, though now ye see Him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory… Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold… but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot” (1 Peter 1:8,18,19).

There is a hill where God will lead
To show how much He sacrificed
Upon His altar for our need:
Behold the cross of Jesus Christ!

His holy hill is where He’s shown
How much our souls had been esteemed.
Thus ransomed, we are now His own,
For by His blood we are redeemed.

This hill where we in worship climb
That we may view the spotless Lamb,
Displays His love, unchanged by time,
As we approach the great “I Am”.

On heaven’s hill we’ll see His face
When we are gathered all above,
Yet now by faith we see His grace
By which we’re drawn to Him with love.

O Lord, You’ve brought us to Your hill,
And we have seen Your altar there.
We’ve seen You do Your Father’s will;
We’ve seen the Price He did not spare.

Lord, thank You for this invitation
To see that hill where we behold
The price You paid for our salvation
Which far exceeds corruption’s gold.

This joy, Lord, is unspeakable!
Upon this hill, what can we say?
Your lovingkindness stirs our soul
With worship words cannot convey.
