Reasonableness of the Resurrection

"Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?" (Acts 26:8).

Why should it be thought so odd
That God will raise again the dead?
Why do nations limit God
And think He won't do as He said?

How darkened is such human thought
That will not see, upon reflection,
The wonders that our Savior wrought,
Including His own resurrection!

A day is coming, just the same,
When sinners, though not now inclined,
Shall bow the knee, confess His name,
And to their judgment be assigned.

The thing incredible indeed,
With all our Savior's evidence,
Is how the lost don't see their need
And do not fear the consequence!

Our Savior is alive and well,
And lives forevermore to save
The souls that He redeemed from hell
And from the power of the grave!
