"The days of our years are... soon cut off, and we fly away.... So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.... And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish Thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish Thou it" (Psalm 90:10,12,17).
Our days and years so quickly fly!
We hasten now to pray:
So teach our hearts, Lord, to apply
Your wisdom while we may!
And let the beauty of our Lord
Be resting on us too,
And shine in us to point toward
The peace we have in You.
And let our worship, Lord, be shown,
Established in our hands,
To make Your way on earth be known
By doing Your commands.
