Searching in Silence

Read:  Psalm 50 / Proverbs 5 / 2 Chronicles 20 / Hebrews 2

Psalm 50:21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee and set them in order before thine eyes.
Proverbs 5:21 For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.
2 Chronicles 20:35,37 And after this did Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did very wickedly... Then Eliezer... prophesied against Jehoshaphat.
Hebrews 2:1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

The silence of the Lord is kept
While He is searching every thought.
Though some may think that God has slept,
They soon shall find that He has not.

Beware, for even godly kings
Were careless in their fellowship.
Take care, and think upon these things,
Lest we should let God’s counsel slip.
