"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty... under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler" (Psalm 91:1,4). "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil... and having done all, to stand" (Ephesians 6:10-13).
There
is a place where we may dwell
Protected
by the King of kings
From
every strategy of hell
Beneath
the shadow of His wings.
The
truth of God shall be our shield;
The
strength of Christ shall be our power.
His
armor on the battlefield
Shall
be our high and mighty tower.
Though
Satan's rage is not yet stilled,
The
gates of hell shall not prevail
Against
the Church which Christ shall build;
Our Savior's promise shall not fail.
Well-armored
now, Almighty Lord,
With
Gospel preparation shod,
We
go forth with Your Spirit's sword,
Which
is the precious Word of God!
