“We are journeying unto the place of which the LORD said, I will give it you: come thou with us” (Numbers 10:29). “LORD, Thou hast heard the desire of the humble: Thou wilt prepare their heart, Thou wilt cause Thine ear to hear” (Psalm 10:17). “That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known to thee this day… the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth” (Proverbs 22:19-21). “For the Son of man is Lord even of the Sabbath day… In His name shall the Gentiles trust” (Matthew 12:21).
We
journey now to heaven’s shore,
The
place which God said He will give
To
all who open their heart’s door,
Receiving
Christ, by whom we live.
It’s
only right that we should call
To
every soul along the way
To
join the journey, one and all,
By
trusting Christ, as yet they may!
O
come with us through Christ our Savior;
No
longer in the darkness stumble!
By
grace the Lord extends His favor,
Not
to the proud, but to the humble.
The
Lord now gives the certainty
Of
every promise that He gave.
His
words fulfilled in prophecy
Assure
us that He lives to save.
For
He became the Son of Man
To
grant to us His Sabbath rest.
He
shows us His eternal plan
By
which we are forever blest.
O
trust in Him, Jew and Gentile,
There
is no other saving name!
He
gave Himself to reconcile
Our
souls and bear away our shame!
O
come and join the journey now;
Do
not delay to make your choice!
Don’t
wait till every knee shall bow,
As
now you hear the Savior’s voice!
We
thank You, Lord, for grace we’ve found
By
which You saved us from our sin,
And
thus we know we’re heaven bound
With
precious souls You died to win.
Lord,
thank You for this journey’s path,
And
for Your presence as You lead.
We
pray for more to flee from wrath,
And
find in You the grace they need.
