Mountain of Myrrh

Read:  Psalm 136 / Proverbs 22 / Song 4 /Luke 9

Psalm 136:23,24 Who remembered us in our low estate: for his mercy endureth for ever: and hath redeemed us from our enemies: for his mercy endureth forever.
Proverbs 22:3 A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.
Song of Solomon 4:6,7,15 Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, I will get me to the mountain of myrrh, and to the hill of frankincense. Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee… a fountain… a well of living water.
Luke 9:56 The Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them.

Thank God that He remembered us!
Christ died for us with love so great,
And He was raised victorious
To save us from our lost estate!

The love that led Him to that mountain
Of sorrow’s myrrh and frankincense
Extends His blessings as a fountain
And hides our soul in His defense!
