Psalm 120:2 Deliver my soul, O
LORD, from lying lips, and from
a deceitful tongue.
Proverbs 6:5 Deliver thyself as
a roe from the hand of the hunter,
and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.
Job 42:10 And the LORD
turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends.
Mark 9:7 A cloud that overshadowed them: and
a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
Though
lying lips are everywhere,
We
are delivered by God’s Word.
We
thus escape deception’s snare
As
from the fowler’s hand, the bird.
We
are delivered when we pray
As
in God’s presence we rejoice.
The
Lord will guard us every day
And
guide us as we heed His voice.
