Sinful Silence

Read:  Psalm 83 / Proverbs 20 / 1 Samuel 13 /Luke 24

Psalm 83:1,18 Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still... That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
Proverbs 20:12,24 The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them... Man's goings are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way?
1 Samuel 13:14 The LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart...to be captain over his people.
Luke 24:45-47 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, and said unto them, Thus it is written... repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Shall we keep sinful silence now
When God commands us here to speak?
The Lord knows when, and where, and how
We ought to reach those who are meek.

The Lord is seeking for a man
Who will pursue His heart's intent
To bring good tidings of His plan
To rescue sinners who repent.
