When
Moses lifted up his rod
The
waters of the Red Sea spread.
The
people saw the work of God
When
all their enemies were dead.
Another
rod was then foreseen
When
our reproach, like crashing waves,
Fell
on our Lord to intervene
And
bear the wrath for those He saves.
