Lord vs. Liars

"A man… shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth" (Numbers 30:2).  "My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of My lips… I will not lie unto David" (Psalm 89:34,35).  "There is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off" (Proverbs 23:18).  "These [kings]… give their power and strength unto the beast.  These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords, and King of kings" (Revelation 17:13,14).

The word of man is often broken,

And promises are thereby altered,

But God fulfills what He has spoken;

His faithfulness has never faltered. 

Be sure of this:  God cannot lie.  

His Word foretells the end expected.

There is a day when mockers die

And meet the God whom they rejected. 

As Revelation now records,

We have a glimpse of future things:

When Christ returns as Lord of lords,

He'll reign on earth as King of kings.

O Lord, let liars be exposed 

To manifest that You are true,

That eyes may open that are closed

And hearts may turn to trust in You.
