Abundantly Able

“I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek Thy servant; for I do not forget Thy commandments” (Psalm 119:176).  “Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen” (Jude 1:24,25).

How sweet is the trust that our Savior affords,
Since He is the Shepherd who guards all His sheep.
We rest in this confidence:  we are the Lord’s,
And all of His own He has promised to keep.

The Shepherd who sought us will keep us as well,
For we are the souls that He bought with a price.
The Lord who was able to save us from hell,
Has saved us forever by His sacrifice.

So “now unto Him” so abundantly able
To keep us, we offer thanksgiving and praise.
Now gathered in His name, He sets us a table
With goodness and mercy through all of our days.

Lord, who could imagine, or who could have dreamed,
That You would devise a salvation so full?
How great is Your mercy on those You redeemed!
How great is the rest you provide for our soul!
