Bought with the Best

“Ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's” (1 Corinthians 6:20). 

Bought with a price only God could afford,

Sought by the Christ with redemption so full,

Great is our cause now to live for our Lord,

With all of our body, our spirit, and soul.

Bought with the Best, so unspeakably priced,

Our souls have been purchased by Jesus our Savior.

The suffering and death of our Lord Jesus Christ

Has measured the price of His infinite favor.

O Lord, as we search for the right words to say,

We find ourselves speechless at what You have done,

For we who were sinners with nothing to pay

Were rescued and ransomed by Your precious Son!

Our words may escape us, O Lord, as we’ve tried

To ponder why You gave Your Best for our worst,

Yet by our surrender, Lord, be glorified

As we live to love You because You loved first.
