"Neglect not the gift that is in thee.... Meditate on these things; give thyself wholly to them, that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed to thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself and them that hear thee" (1 Timothy 4:14-16).
Every child of God receives
A special gift within,
The moment one in Christ believes
Who takes away our sin.
Thus we are by God employed
To exercise these gifts.
Thus we fill a special void
That edifies and lifts.
Take heed, therefore, to not neglect
This gift that God imparts.
But let it have its full effect
In blessing other hearts.
