"Thus saith Cyrus, king of Persia, The Lord God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and He hath charged me to build Him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah" (Ezra 1:2). "I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ... preach the Word; be instant in season, out of season.... do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry" (2 Timothy 4:1,2,5).
Cherish the charge God gave you to do,
Preaching the Word in all seasons.
God has a ministry tailored for you,
For all of His merciful reasons.
God charges peasants and God charges kings;
He charges the young and the old.
He's perfectly working together all things,
Including His charge that you hold.
Cherish the charge God gave to fulfill,
Redeeming the time while you may.
