Ministers of the Mysteries

"We speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory.... Let a man so account of us, as the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God" (1 Corinthians 2:7, 4:1).

The Gospel is a mystery,
And yet it's on display
Across the face of history
As plain and clear as day.

How can the world be so blind?
How can they miss God's grace?
How can they call what God designed
Mere randomness in space?

Our Savior came to intervene
As Scripture said He would.
Has not the world clearly seen?
Has not it understood?

The cross was real, as was the tomb;
Christ died and rose again.
It seems that there should be no room
For honest doubters then.

Oh mystery of mysteries,
That blindness is sustained,
In spite of proof this world sees
That God Himself ordained!
