Isaiah spoke of
Christ our Lord,
As other prophets
God inspired,
To tell us of
His soul outpoured
To do the work
that He desired.
The Lord has
done the things that please
His heart in all
of His creation.
Yet greater
still than all of these,
He gave Himself
for our salvation!
He was the
Offering for our crimes
To ransom us
eternally,
Our Friend who
loved us at all times,
Our Brother in
adversity.
O Lord, this
prophecy of pleasure
To rescue souls
which had been cursed
Has plumbed the
everlasting measure
Of boundless
love that loved us first!
