Homeland Healing

REMEMBERING PEARL HARBOR

"If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:14).  "They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth forever… the LORD is round about His people" (Psalm 125:1,2).  "Ye should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light" (1 Peter 2:9).

Upon that day of infamy
Which fell upon December seven,
We felt our own mortality
And lifted up our eyes to heaven.

A day of infamy and prayer
As we had never seen before
Had steadied us to then prepare
To trust in God and go to war.

We fought against the atheist
Where communism's darkness fell.
The God whom Hitler would resist
Did not abandon Israel.

O Lord, we need Your homeland healing,
To shine in darkness with Your light.
We seek Your strength as we are kneeling
And praying humbly in Your sight.
