Rejoicing in the Revelation

"I rejoice at Thy Word, as one that findeth great spoil" (Psalm 119:162).  "To the counselors of peace is joy" (Proverbs 12:20).  "My spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior… for He hath visited and redeemed His people… to give knowledge of salvation unto His people by the remission of their sins, through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the Dayspring from on high hath visited us, to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace" (Luke 1:47,68-79).

How joyful is the revelation
Of Christ who fought and won for us
The spoils of so great salvation
Because He was victorious!

As counselors of heaven's peace,
We bring the news of blood-bought favor;
Our song of joy shall never cease
As we rejoice in God our Savior!

Far greater than we could have dreamed
Is our redemption from the Lord,
For by His blood we are redeemed;
His spotless life has been outpoured.

O Lord, our Dayspring from above,
The revelation that we find
As we're rejoicing in Your love,
Has in our darkness brightly shined.
