"Thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots, and though they be strong" (Joshua 17:18). "The rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous" (Psalm 125:3). "The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil" (Proverbs 19:23). "Then they… came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind" (Luke 8:35).
When Joshua
dispelled the doubt
Regarding foes
within the land,
He said that
they would drive them out
Because it was
the Lord's command.
Though Satan's hordes
are surely strong,
They are no
match for Christ our God.
The Devil taunts us all day long,
But God shall
soon remove his rod.
It's wise to
fear the Lord alone,
Who died and
rose on our behalf
To satisfy and
save His own
And to dispel
our foes as chaff.
O Lord, how
gladly we've beheld
That joyful man
before you seated
From whom the
demons were dispelled,
For thus we see
ourselves completed.
