"Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not" (3 John 9).
Shall we give preeminence
To our own selfish pride?
Purge us, Lord, from arrogance;
Let none of it abide!
Come, Lord, take Your rightful place
Within our hearts today.
Reign in us with truth and grace,
And melt our pride away.
