"He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds... Great is our Lord, and of great power: His understanding is infinite" (Psalm 147:2,4). "The fool has no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself" (Proverbs 18:2).
The love, the power, and wisdom conveyed
In the Scriptures have clearly defined
The traits of our Lord manifestly displayed
In His dealings with all of mankind.
Our Lord is too loving to be found unkind.
Our Lord is too mighty to fail.
Our Lord is too wise in His infinite mind
To be wrong in the smallest detail.
What trustworthy traits! O how they impart
The peace of our Lord to the soul!
Be not as the fool who trusts his own heart,
Refusing to give God control.
