Merciful Memory

Read:  Psalm 42 / Proverbs 10 / Joshua 21 / Mat. 27

Psalm 42:7 Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
Proverbs 10:7,22 The memory of the just is blessed... The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
Joshua 21:45 There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto...  Israel; all came to pass.
Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? (cf. Psalm 22)

The wrath of God with all its waves
Came crashing down on Jesus Christ
To thus impart the grace that saves
Because our Lord was sacrificed.

How merciful this memory is,
Foreseen throughout Psalm 22!
He paid the price to make us His
When all His promises came true.
