"Wherefore is there a price in the hand of a fool to get wisdom, seeing he hath no heart to it?" (Proverb 17:16).
Why should the Lord continue to speak
If my heart is not ready to hear?
Why should I ask for the wisdom I seek
Without an obedient ear?
Oh Lord, how I need Your wisdom each day;
Yet first, an obedient heart!
So give me a heart prepared to obey
The wisdom that You will impart.
