"O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleadeth for his neighbor" (Job 16:21). "For there is one God, and one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5).
It pleased the Lord to plead for us
By sending Jesus Christ.
He lived, He died, He rose, and thus
Our Lord was sacrificed.
Lord of life, our Mediator,
The sinner's perfect plea,
Thank you, Jesus Christ our Savior,
For pleading thus for me.
