"The king's servants said unto the king, Behold, thy servants are ready to do whatsoever my lord the king shall appoint" (2 Samuel 15:15). "God looked down from heaven… to see if there were any that did understand" (Psalm 53:2). "The ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD" (Proverbs 5:21). "Now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed… Let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light" (Romans 13:11,12).
Come,
servants of our King so great,
And
offer Him your service now.
Why
should we yet procrastinate
Till
every knee to Him shall bow?
Our
God looks down from heaven's throne
To
see those who will understand
That
it is time to make Him known,
For
His return is now at hand.
The
Lord is pondering our ways;
Our
attitudes cannot be masked.
He's
not impressed with empty praise
From
those refusing to be tasked.
O
Lord, with heaven's task so clear,
We
see it's high time to awake,
Lest
You should find us slothful here
And
we lament our great mistake!
