"The king shall joy in Thy strength, O Lord; and in Thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips.... He asked like of Thee, and Thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever" (Psalm 21:1-4).
I lifted up my prayer, Oh Lord,
Not knowing that You cared.
You gave me all You could afford;
Your Son You have not spared!
How greatly now I thus rejoice
In all Your strength to save!
How gratefully I lift my voice
For all You freely gave!
