God's Wisdom in His Great Work

Read:  Psalm 86 / Proverbs 5 / Exodus 31 / 2 Corinthians 11

Psalm 86:12-13 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart... for great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.
Proverbs 5:1 My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding:
Exodus 31:6 In the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded.
2 Corinthians 11:3,10 The simplicity that is in Christ... the truth of Christ is in me.

The praise that flows from hearts made wise
Is placed in us so we may tell
The Gospel Truth that opens eyes
And saves us from the lowest hell.

The greatest work of God today
Is in the simple proclamation
To sheep who all have gone astray
That Christ has purchased our salvation!

Peace Pondered

Read:  Psalm 85 / Proverbs 4 / Exodus 30 / 2 Corinthians 10

Psalm 85:8 I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.
Proverbs 4:26-27 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
Exodus 30:15 The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less...  to make an atonement for your souls.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

I've pondered what the Lord has said
Regarding peace He freely gave.
By grace and truth my Lord was led
To rob the victory from the grave.

The war continues still today
With every vain imagination,
But I will hear what God will say
As He speaks peace by His salvation.

At the Altar

Read:  Psalm 84 / Proverbs 3 / Exodus 29 / 2 Corinthians 9

Psalm 84:3 Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.
Proverbs 3:26,34 The LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken... He giveth grace unto the lowly.
Exodus 29:38,42 Now this is that which thou shalt offer upon the altar; two lambs of the first year day by day continually... where I will meet you, to speak there unto thee.
2 Corinthians 9:15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.

We come to the altar of Christ
To think of our Savior's great love
That caused Him to be sacrificed
To fit us for heaven above.

We stand at the altar of grace
With praises we gratefully lift
For mercy and truth that we trace
In Christ, God's Unspeakable Gift!

Reputation of our Redeemer

Read:  Psalm 83 / Proverbs 2 / Exodus 28 / 2 Corinthians 8

Psalm 83:16,18 They may seek thy name, O LORD... That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
Proverbs 2:5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
Exodus 28:2 And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty.
2 Corinthians 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

When we make mention of God's name,
We're speaking of His reputation.
As our Redeemer, Jesus came
To give Himself for our salvation.

His glory and His beauty shine
As Priest and also Sacrifice.
Behold His purpose and design:
He died to pay redemption's price!

Door out of Darkness

Read:  Psalm 82 / Proverbs 1 / Exodus 27 / 2 Corinthians 7

Psalm 82:5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
Proverbs 1:23,29 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you... They hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:
Exodus 27:16,20 The gate of the court shall be an hanging... cause the lamp to burn always.
2 Corinthians 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

The path of darkness is seduction
Where people blindly choose to go.
It is the broad way of destruction,
But there's a door of hope we show!

The tabernacle gate presents
The door of Christ's great invitation,
For when a humble heart repents,
He finds the light of God's salvation.
