Psalm 63:1 ~ O God, thou art
my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth
for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is.
Proverbs 22:12,20 ~ The eyes of the LORD preserve knowledge, and he
overthroweth the words of the transgressor… Have not I written to thee
excellent things in counsels and knowledge?
Isaiah 9:6 ~ For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called
Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of
Peace.
Mark 6:7,12 ~ He called unto
him the twelve… to send them forth… They went out, and preached that men
should repent.
This barren land cannot provide
A well to quench the sinner’s
thirst,
For judgment must be satisfied
To rescue and redeem the cursed.
Yet unto us a Child is born;
A Savior to our world was sent!
We’re called, therefore, to woo,
to warn,
And plead with sinners to
repent.
