Sword against Seduction

Read:  Psalm 149 / Proverbs 28 / Deuteronomy 12 / Rev. 6

Psalm 149:5-6 Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.  Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;
Proverbs 28:4 They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.
Deuteronomy 12:2-3 Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods...  and destroy the names of them out of that place.
Revelation 6:15-17 The kings of the earth... and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; and said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: for the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Let everyone who trusts the Lord
Advance with praise in Jesus' name
And with the Spirit's two-edge sword,
Which is the Gospel we proclaim.

Let nothing of this world's seduction
Pollute the heart, Christ's dwelling place!
This world races to destruction,
But we proclaim God’s saving grace.
