Equipped with Evidence

Read:  Psalm 67 / Proverbs 18 / Deut. 16 / Hebrews 12

Psalm 67:1,2 ~ God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah. That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.

Proverbs 18:17 ~ He that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbor cometh and searcheth him.

Deuteronomy 16:17 ~ Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD… he hath given thee.

Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

May God be merciful to us

That we may make His mercy known.

His saving health is marvelous

Which Jesus has so clearly shown.

With all the evidence He gives

We are equipped to make the case

To prove that Christ our Savior lives

Who bore the cross to grant us grace.

Christ is Credible

Read:  Psalm 66 / Proverbs 17 / Deut. 15 / Hebrews 11

Psalm 66:5,16 ~ Come and see the works of God… toward the children of men… Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.

Proverbs 17:17 ~ A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

Deuteronomy 15:6 ~ For the LORD thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee.

Hebrews 11:11 ~ Through faith also Sara herself received strength… because she judged him faithful who had promised.

O come and see what Christ has done;

His wondrous works have filled creation!

O come and hear how He has won

The battle for our soul’s salvation!

We know why Christ is credible:

His promises are never broken.

He died and rose to save our soul,

For Christ is faithful who has spoken.

Holy Healing

Read:  Psalm 65 / Proverbs 16 / Deut. 14 / Hebrews 10

Psalm 65:3 ~ Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.

Proverbs 16:6 ~ By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.

Deuteronomy 14:2 ~ For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations.

Hebrews 10:7 ~ Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

Iniquities could not be purged

By blood from offerings sacrificed,

But Jesus for our sake was scourged;

Our holy healing is from Christ.

By grace we’re saved and sanctified

Through Christ who gave Himself for us

When on the cross for us He died

And rose again victorious!

Arrow of the Almighty

Read:  Psalm 64 / Proverbs 15 / Deut. 13 / Hebrews 9

Psalm 64:3,7 ~ Who whet their tongue… and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words… But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.

Proverbs 15:28 ~ The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.

Deuteronomy 13:18 ~ Thou shalt hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep all his commandments… to do that which is right in the eyes of the LORD thy God.

Hebrews 9:27 ~ And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.

The arrows of the wicked fly

With bitter words that wound and kill,

But God shall shoot and testify

That He shall be exalted still.

The Word of God is like an arrow;

The time is short to hear His voice

And flee for refuge like a sparrow

While God Almighty gives the choice!

Fountain Found

Read:  Psalm 63 / Proverbs 14 / Deut. 12 / Hebrews 8

Psalm 63:1-3 ~ O God… my soul thirsteth for thee… in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is… Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

Proverbs 14:27 ~ The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

Deuteronomy 12:23,24 ~ Be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life… pour it upon the earth as water.

Hebrews 8:12 ~ For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

There is a fountain found in Christ

In every heart He enters in.

Because our Lord was sacrificed,

His blood has cleansed us from our sin.

This fountain Christ imparts shall pour

His blessings on us who were cursed.

Our sins shall be recalled no more,

And God shall satisfy our thirst.

At All Times Trust

Read:  Psalm 62 / Proverbs 13 / Deut. 11 / Hebrews 7

Psalm 62:8 ~ Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

Proverbs 13:15 ~ Good understanding giveth favor: but the way of transgressors is hard.

Deuteronomy 11:1 ~ Therefore thou shalt love the LORD thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, always.

Hebrews 7:25 ~ Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

At all times we should trust our Lord

And cast on Him our every care.

Our hearts to Him should be outpoured

In spoken and unspoken prayer.

At all times we should bring our need

To Christ who governs us with love.

He ever lives to intercede

At God’s right hand for us above.

Valid Vows

Read:  Psalm 61 / Proverbs 12 / Deut. 10 / Hebrews 6

Psalm 61:5,8 ~ Thou, O God, hast heard my vows… I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

Proverbs 12:26 ~ The righteous is more excellent than his neighbor: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.

Deuteronomy 10:20,21 ~ Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name. He is thy praise, and he is thy God.

Hebrews 6:18,19 ~ It was impossible for God to lie, we… have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us… we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast.

Our vow to love and honor Christ

With all our heart, our soul, and might

Instructs us not to be enticed

As we are living in His sight.

By grace from God, we shall be able

To honor valid vows we keep.

Our steadfast anchor, sure and stable,

Is in the Lord who guards His sheep.

Our Help and Our Hope

Read:  Psalm 60 / Proverbs 11 / Deut. 9 / Hebrews 5

Psalm 60:11 ~ Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

Proverbs 11:30 ~ The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

Deuteronomy 9:29 ~ Yet they are thy people and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest out by thy mighty power and by thy stretched-out arm.

Hebrews 5:9,10 ~ And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.

Our hope in mortal man is vain;

He cannot help us when he dies.

With Christ received, to die is gain,

So he who wins a soul is wise.

Our Savior shelters us from harm;

He is our Refuge and our Tower.

Our help is in His stretched-out arm;

Our hope is in His mighty power.

Taught to Talk

Read:  Psalm 59 / Proverbs 10 / Deut. 8 / Hebrews 4

Psalm 59:17 ~ Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defense, and the God of my mercy.

Proverbs 10:21 ~ The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.

Deuteronomy 8:3 ~ And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger… that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

Hebrews 4:12 ~ The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword… even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The Lord has taught us how to talk

With reason and with confidence.

Though in these last days scorners mock,

The Lord Himself is our Defense.

The truth proceeding from the LORD

Is heaven’s bread to those we feed.

His Word is also heaven’s sword

To triumph where the LORD will lead.

Charmers and Choices

Read:  Psalm 58 / Proverbs 9 / Deut. 7 / Hebrews 3

Psalm 58:3-5 ~ The wicked…are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear; which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.

Proverbs 9:8 ~ Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.

Deuteronomy 7:21 ~ Thou shalt not be affrighted at them: for the LORD thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible.

Hebrews 3:13 ~ Exhort… daily, while it is called today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

The serpent that will stop her ear

And will not heed the charmer’s voice,

Is like the scorners who won’t hear

The Gospel they reject by choice.

The Lord has sent us nonetheless

To sheep in danger, gone astray.

In spite of who will scorn or bless,

We speak while it is called today.

Hero from Heaven

Read:  Psalm 57 / Proverbs 8 / Deut. 6 / Hebrews 2

Psalm 57:3 ~ He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.

Proverbs 8:35,36 ~ For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favor of the LORD. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

Deuteronomy 6:5 ~ And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Hebrews 2:3,9 ~ How shall we escape?... We see Jesus… made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death… that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

Christ is our Hero from above

Who saved us from our lost condition.

Our Lord and Savior came in love

To rescue us; this was His mission.

We stand amazed at heaven’s plan,

For Jesus suffered in our place

And tasted death for every man

To ransom us with truth and grace!

Walk in His Ways

Read:  Psalm 56 / Proverbs 7 / Deut. 5 / Hebrews 1

Psalm 56:12,13 ~ I will render praises unto thee. For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light.

Proverbs 7:2 ~ Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.

Deuteronomy 5:33 ~ Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you.

Hebrews 1:1-3 ~ God… hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son… when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.

The Lord delivered me from death;

He died to rescue me from hell.

I’ll praise Him while He gives me breath

And sing with joy that “It Is Well.”

I’ll walk before Him in His ways,

And in His Word, I will rejoice.

My Savior speaks in these last days,

So, I will hear and heed His voice.

Contemplate Christ

Read:  Psalm 55 / Proverbs 6 / Deut. 4 / Philemon 1

Psalm 55:22 ~ Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Proverbs 6:20-22 ~ My son, keep thy father's commandment… When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.

Deuteronomy 4:39 ~ Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.

Philemon 18 ~ If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account.

We cast our burden on the Lord

And know that we shall not be moved,

For though we stumble, we’re restored

By Christ whose love is daily proved.

As in our heart we contemplate

The grace and truth by Christ displayed,

We stand amazed at love so great

Through which our ransom has been paid!

Kindness of our King

Read:  Psalm 54 / Proverbs 5 / Deut. 3 / Titus 3

Psalm 54:4,7 ~ Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul… He hath delivered me.

Proverbs 5:7 ~ Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.

Deuteronomy 3:28 ~ Charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.

Titus 3:4 ~ The kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared… That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Our help comes from our God above,

The King of kings, supremely kind.

His words encourage us with love

To strengthen and instruct our mind.

Our King has charged us now to go

With His authority and favor

To preach the Gospel that will show

The kindness of our God and Savior.
