“Ye shall therefore keep My statutes, and My judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the LORD” (Leviticus18:50). “But mine eyes are unto Thee, O GOD the Lord: in Thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute” (Psalm 141:8). “Let not mercy and truth forsake thee… Trust in the LORD with all thine heart” (Proverbs 3:3,4). “Great and marvelous are Thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are Thy ways… Who shall not fear Thee, O Lord, and glorify Thy name?” (Revelations 15:3,4).
The
Lord has given us His Law,
Which,
if a man do, he shall live,
And
yet, alas, we stand in awe:
We
must have an alternative!
The
Law was given to report
The
moral righteousness of God
And
show us that we all fall short
Because
our life with sin is flawed.
His
righteousness is absolute
From
which He cannot compromise,
Yet
we are not left destitute:
To
Jesus Christ we lift our eyes!
Behold
His hands, His side, His feet,
His
tokens showing that He died,
To
show salvation is complete
And
that His Law is satisfied!
We’re
sinners from our early youth;
The
Law has made that obvious,
But
God extends His grace and truth
Through
Christ who gave Himself for us!
The
fear of God is where it starts,
Instructing
us to trust the Lord,
Surrendering
with all our hearts
To
Christ who rightly is adored.
For
great and marvelous is He,
Who
would provide so great salvation
To
rescue us eternally
By
bearing all our condemnation!
How
just and true, Lord, are Your ways;
How
wondrous is redemption’s theme!
You
are the Center of the praise
Of
those it pleased You to redeem!
Lord,
who today will yet refuse
The
great salvation You proclaim?
We
take our place with all who choose
To
praise and glorify Your name!
Your
great alternative yet stands
For
all who humbly seek Your face.
Lord,
use our mouth, our feet, and hands
To
spread the message of Your grace!
