Read:  Psalm 119:129-136 / Proverbs 2 / Jer. 15 / Acts 17

 

Psalm 119:130 ~ The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

Proverbs 2:10,11 ~ When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee.

Jeremiah 15:16 ~ Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

Acts 17:11 ~ These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

 

The entrance of God’s Word gives light 

With understanding He will give

To know the truth, to judge what’s right,

And to instruct us how to live. 

 

His words delight our hungry hearts

With satisfaction that we find

In wisdom that the Lord imparts

To reason with a ready mind.

Time to Toil

Read:  Psalm 119:121-128 / Proverbs 1 / Jer. 14 / Acts 16

 

Psalm 119:126 ~ It is time for thee, LORD, to work: for they have made void thy law.

Proverbs 1:20 ~ Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets.

Jeremiah 14:7 ~ O LORD, though our iniquities testify against us, do thou it for thy name's sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against thee.

Acts 16:9 ~ And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.

 

The time to toil soon is passed!

Let builders now arise and build.

Let fishers rise with nets they cast.

Let reapers reap the field tilled.

 

For though iniquities are many,

Our Savior bore them in our place,

So none shall perish, no, not any,

But those who will reject His grace!
