“I
have exalted one chosen out of
the people. I have found David My
servant; with My holy oil have I anointed him:
with whom My hand shall be established: Mine arm also shall strengthen
him” (Psalm 89:19-21). “Saul of Tarsus… is
a chosen vessel unto Me, to bear My name before the Gentiles, and kings, and
the children of Israel” (Acts 9:11-15).
Behold
the vessels God well chose:
The
champions of heart and reason!
Behold
the honor He bestows
Upon
His people in their season!
A
shepherd boy from Jesse’s clan
Was
not who Samuel expected,
Till
God (who sees the heart of man)
Had
every other son rejected.
Now
this is where the Lord will start:
He
seeks for hearts that He may draw;
He
found in David such a heart,
And
He revealed what He saw.
Goliath
therefore could not stand
Before
this shepherd, just a youth,
Whom
God protected with His hand
And
whom He strengthened with His truth.
In
Saul of Tarsus, too, we find
The
beauty of a full surrender
Of
heart and soul with strength and mind
To
Christ as Savior and Defender.
This
champion foreseen in Saul
Could
not be seen by other men,
But
as the great apostle Paul,
The
Lord would show His purpose then.
A
chosen vessel for the Lord,
He
would present the Savior’s case
With
reasoning that would afford
The
proof of Christ’s amazing grace.
The
Gentiles, kings, and Israel
Would
hear the evidence he’d bring
That
there was no escape from hell
Except
through Jesus Christ our King.
We
thank You, Lord, for those You sent
As
champions to bear Your name.
O
may our life be likewise spent
To
show the reason that You came.

Very nice! We're vessels, some with more gifts, but all having the same worth. The biblical people were used on their moment, cause they allow to God to use them. We should do the same on this difficult time. We need to be more God's vessels.
Amen! That is precisely what God is saying to each of us! We are His stewards of His grace... for such a time as this! God is calling each of us to be His chosen champions!
