"Then wrought... every wise hearted man, in whom the LORD put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the LORD had commanded.... every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto the work to do it" (Exodus 36:1,2). "He chose David also His servant, and took him from the sheepfolds... to feed Jacob his people, and Israel His inheritance. So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart, and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands" (Psalm 78:70-72).
Now where is wisdom to be found
To do the work of God's command?
Wherever willing hearts abound,
The Lord shall make them understand.
The wisdom given by the Lord
That every one could do their part
For sanctuary work was poured
By God into each willing heart.
The wisdom David had was gained
When guarding sheep with staff and rod.
Integrity and skill explained
Why he was chosen king by God.
O Lord, how very much we need
The wisdom You alone can give!
We look to You that You may lead
And teach us how to wisely live.
