"O God, Thou art my God; early will I seek Thee: my soul thirsteth for Thee, my flesh longeth for Thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is.... my soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips" (Psalm 63:1,5). "He that watereth shall be watered also himself.... The righteous shall flourish as a branch.... The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he that winneth souls is wise" (Proverbs 11:25-30).
Where is the water in land that is dry
For quenching the thirst of our soul
And watering others as well to supply
The thirst of their hearts to the full?
The Lord is the Fountain to satisfy thirst
As no other wellspring can do!
We go to our bountiful Savior to first
Be filled then to fill others too!
We live in a world where no water is,
Regarding the thirst of the heart.
Unless we have come to the Lord and are His,
There's no water here to impart.
Praise God for the waters that freely abound:
Our cup still runs over the brim!
In Jesus our Savior this Fountain is found
For all who are trusting in Him.
We thank You, O Lord, that You opened our eyes
To drink of the water You give.
We call to the thirsty, as You make us wise,
To drink that they also may live!
