"Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will show to you today" (Exodus 14:13). "Thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?" (Psalm 56:13). "Let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet.... Turn not to the right hand nor to the left" (Proverbs 4:25-27). "And after this I looked, and behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard... which said, Come up hither, and I will show thee the things which must be hereafter" (Revelation 4:1).
There is a time for standing still
That we may see salvation's sight
To find the center of God's will
And turn not to the left or right.
There was a path that God had planned
Which brought His people through the sea.
Obedience then to His command
Secured salvation's victory.
There was a voice in Revelation
That came from heaven's open door
Which called John to an elevation
To see salvation yet in store.
These illustrations show our need
To see things from our Savior's view,
That we may walk where He will lead
And do the things He says to do.
Lord, keep our eyes on You today
As we behold salvation's path,
To trust You only all the way,
Since You delivered us from wrath.
