"By mercy and truth iniquity is purged" (Proverbs 16:6). "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all... He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied: by His knowledge shall My righteous Servant justify many; for He shall bear their iniquities" (Isaiah 53:6-11). "The love of Christ... passeth knowledge" (Ephesians 3:19).
Iniquity is purged as dross,
And all its debt is satisfied
By Christ our
Savior on the cross
Who paid our
ransom when He died.
All we like
sheep had gone astray;
We had no hope
apart from Christ!
Salvation had
no other way
Unless our
Lord was sacrificed!
He saw the
anguish of His soul
Which
satisfied His law's demands.
His marks of love
are wonderful:
Behold our
Savior's feet and hands!
It passes what
we comprehend,
To know You're
satisfied, O Savior,
To search Your
love that has no end,
And
contemplate Your boundless favor!
