"Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light... But though He had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on Him: that the saying of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? And to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?" (John 12:35-38).
"A
little while," our Savior said,
The
light is with us now to walk,
Yet
darkness is preferred instead
By
those who, as foretold, will mock.
How
strange it is that many choose
To
blindly walk and never know
The
blessings that they thus refuse
And
horrors waiting where they go!
We
have our Savior's Word today
So
we may walk with confidence
As
we delight to know His way
And
follow in obedience.
Our
time on earth is very short,
Though
some may think that it is long
Yet
have no time for God's report
Which
they exchange for what is wrong.
The
miracles our Savior did
And
prophecies that He fulfilled
Shed
light on Christ who was not hid
When
He, as prophesied, was killed.
O
Lord, we thank You for Your light
Which
in the darkness You have shined,
So
we might thus believe aright
And
in You our salvation find.
Lord,
send us forth to shine as well
As
stars against the darkened sky,
To
show the Good News that we tell
Where
we are sent testify.
