"Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: Thy blessing is upon Thy people" (Psalm 3:8). "Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?" (Proverbs 20:9). "Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon Him, went forth... Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which My Father hath given Me, shall I not drink it?" (John 18:4,11).
Salvation
has a single Source;
God's
Lamb for us was sacrificed.
There
is no hope in human force;
Redemption
comes by Jesus Christ.
There's
no one who can truly say
That
he has made his own heart clean,
For
none but Jesus Christ could pay
The
price His prophets had foreseen.
To
Jesus, therefore, it was clear:
He
saw the sorrows on His path
As
judgment for our sins drew near,
Awakening
God's sword of wrath.
Though
Peter's sword would then be drawn,
The
Lord would say to put it up.
The
wrath for sin would not be gone
Unless
our Savior drank its cup.
You
are the only Source, O Lord,
By
which we have received salvation.
The
wrath of God's awakened sword
Consumed
You with our condemnation!
O
Lord, receive our grateful love
For
Your compassions ever new!
Salvation's
Source is from above
Because
it only flows from You.
