"Sarah... bare Abraham a son... at the SET TIME of which God had spoken to him" (Genesis 21:2). "It is time for thee, LORD, to work: for they have made void Thy law" (Psalm 119:126). "There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand" (Proverbs 19:21). "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved... as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things” (Romans 10:13,15).
There was a time which God had set
For Sarah to bring forth a son.
Like every promise God has met,
As He had spoken, it was done.
There is a time for diligence,
As servants of the Lord employed,
To preach His Word with confidence
Though fools will seek to make it void.
The counsel of the Lord shall stand,
Regardless of what man will say.
We ought to follow God's command
And send His tidings forth today!
O Lord, You've set this time to preach
And send the tidings of salvation.
May we extend the Gospel's reach
By Your command to every nation!
