"Abram, after that Lot was separated from him... removed his tent... and built there an altar unto the LORD" (Genesis 13:14-18). "Thou art my Portion, O LORD: I have said that I would keep Thy words... The bands of the wicked have robbed me: but I have not forgotten Thy law" (Psalm 119:57,61). "Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death" (Proverbs 11:4). "Despisest thou the riches of... the goodness of God [that] leadeth thee to repentance?" (Romans 2:4).
There is a tent we shall remove
With fleeting riches of this place.
Eternity shall surely prove
The greater riches of God's grace.
Our Treasure truly is the Lord,
And His eternal words remain.
No thief can steal this Reward
Or rob us of eternal gain.
The wealth this world will esteem
Is useless when God's wrath is sent,
But God in mercy shall redeem
The soul that humbly will repent.
O Lord, the riches that You give,
Procured by Your own sacrifice,
Remain, since You forever live
And satisfied redemption's price!
