“Let
all those that seek Thee rejoice and be glad in Thee: and let such as love Thy
salvation say continually, Let God be magnified” (Psalm 70:4). “It
is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter…. As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country” (Proverbs
25:2,25).
The
glory of Christmas by God is concealed
From
those who will stubbornly walk in their pride,
But
all who will seek Him shall see Him revealed,
Delighting
in Christ who is thus magnified.
All
those who now seek Him, like wise men of old,
Who
knew by the Scriptures and saw by His star
That
God became Man as the prophets foretold,
Rejoice
in good tidings from heaven afar.
How
wondrous His mercy! Our God became Man!
How
great is the measure of infinite love!
How
awesome is God who conceived such a plan
And
carried it out when He came from above!
The
truth is concealed, but only to those
Who
cast aside evidence God left behind.
Our
Lord came as promised, He died, and He rose,
So
those who won’t seek Him are willfully blind.
O
Lord, we delight to forevermore say:
Now
“let God be magnified! Great is our
Savior!”
Your dominion, Lord, day after day,
Revealing
Yourself in our hearts and behavior.
