"Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: but let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth Me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth" (Jeremiah 9:23,24). "God our Savior... will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth... Christ Jesus... gave Himself a ransom for all" (2 Timothy 2:3-6).
No
greater glory can be found
In
things below or yet above
Than
in the blessings that abound
In
knowing Christ and His great love.
A
man may boast that he is wise,
Or
he may think that he is strong.
He
may be rich in his own eyes,
But
without Christ, he's simply wrong.
There's
neither wisdom, might, nor treasure
In
truth, apart from knowing Christ.
God's
glory saw its fullest measure
When
He for us was sacrificed.
O
Lord, our gracious God and Savior,
The greatest glory we can crave
Is now discovered in Your favor
Extended to the souls You save!
