"Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in His commandments... he will guide his affairs with discretion" (Psalm 112:1,5). "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom... If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself" (Proverbs 9:10,12). "Obey My voice... so shall ye be My people, and I will be your God" (Jeremiah 11:4). "Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee" (1Timothy 4:16).
There
is a blessing and delight
Attending
those who fear the Lord.
Discretion
guides their steps aright
When
Christ is followed and adored.
Discretion
keeps a soul from sinning
In
pathways dark and dangerous.
The
fear of God is the beginning
Of
wisdom that is guarding us.
How
wisely, then, do we take heed
To
every word of God today
To
guard ourselves and those we lead
By everything we do and say.
Lord,
thank You for Your guiding hand
That
leads us forth in Your procession
As
we delight in Your command
With
which You guard us by discretion.
