"Quicken me after Thy lovingkindness" (Psalm 119:88 ). "The curse causeless shall not come" (Proverbs 26:2). "Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He... offered up Himself. (Hebrews 7:25,27).
Our spirit's case could not be worse:
We were not merely sick, but dead.
It was our sin which brought the curse;
How bleak our prospect was ahead!
The curse could not be swept away
As if it had no valid cause,
For all of us had gone astray;
We all had broken heaven's laws.
Our Savior brought the remedy
That purged iniquity as dross,
Removing sin eternally
By dying for us on the cross!
You met our curse, Lord, with Your cure
For which You paid an awful price!
We thank You that You would endure
The cross to be our Sacrifice!
