"Declare His glory among the heathen, His wonders among all people" (Psalm 96:2). "[He] Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses... There arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves... Then He arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm... The devils besought Him, saying, If Thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine. And He said unto them, Go " (Matthew 8:17-32).
Declare
our Savior's awesome glory;
Make
known His wonders every day.
Recount
our great Redeemer's story,
Who
paid the price we could not pay.
Our
soul was filled with sin's disease
As
we approached our hopeless graves,
And
death arose like troubled seas
Which
threatened us with crashing waves.
Then
Christ arose in our defense
To
bear our soul's infirmity.
He
took our judgment's consequence:
God's
wrath for our iniquity!
Declare
His glory with a Psalm
To
celebrate our Savior's might!
The
winds and sea are rendered calm
And
demons have been put to flight!
O
Lord, our greatest Friend in need,
Our
Hero in our soul's distress,
We
thank You that You have decreed
That
we shall wear Your righteousness!
We
thank You, Lord, with celebration
For
works which are so marvelous,
Accomplishing
our soul's salvation
When
You laid down Your life for us.
The
wonders in Your works, O Savior,
Are
greater than we comprehend,
Yet
we declare Your Gospel's favor,
Which
to the lost You still extend.

Sing it Dave, sing it!
Amen, brother Gary. All of these poems are songs just waiting for a tune. By the way, I have been interacting with a friend of yours from Iraq, using the "Ali Abdullah" on facebook. Pray for him. He needs encouragement from the Lord and fellowship from believers. I am sending him the poems now via e-mail as well. God bless you, brother, as you seek His glory in all things!
