"Seek the LORD, and His strength: seek His face evermore" (Psalm 105:4). "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye Him. And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid. And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid. And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only" (Matthew 17:5-8).
We
hear the Father plainly say,
As
at our Lord's transfiguration,
To
"Hear ye Him" as well today
To
seek His strength and His salvation.
We
lift our eyes to seek His face
And
find assurance in His voice,
As
to our hearts He speaks with grace,
And
in His presence we rejoice.
How
kind His words are that we hear
To
broken hearts, afraid and lonely.
His
tender voice removes all fear
As
no one can, "save Jesus only."
We
seek His face forevermore
And
praise the name of Jesus Christ,
The
Lamb of God whom we adore,
Who
for our souls was sacrificed.
O
Lord, as now we lift our eyes
To
see no man, save You alone,
How
quickly vain distraction flies
As
now we worship at Your throne.
O
Lord, in view of all You've done
To
save our souls at such a cost,
We
seek Your strength that we may run
And
take Your Gospel to the lost.
