Beautiful Because

“BECAUSE Thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise Thee… my soul shall be satisfied… BECAUSE Thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of Thy wings will I rejoice” (Psalm 63:3-7).  “I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper… He shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS” (Jeremiah 23:5,6).  “They sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy… for Thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by Thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation” (Revelation 5:9). 

How many reasons we may cite

To show our Lord is beautiful!
The Word of God brings this to light
To satisfy and thrill our soul. 

Because His lovingkindness is

Far better than this fleeting life,
We thus rejoice that we are His
Because of His triumphant strife.

Because of help our Savior brings  

With grace when we have called in prayer,
We’re resting now beneath His wings,
And here we cast on Him our care.

Because He is our reigning King,

Now called the LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS,
We lift our hearts and hands to sing
His praises, and His name we bless. 

Because our Savior died for us,

And He in triumph rose again,
The song we sing is glorious:
How worthy is the Lamb!  Amen!

O Lord, we thank You for this joy

Surpassing all we could have dreamed,
As we, with those above, employ
The song of every soul redeemed!

O Lord, how beautiful You are

Because You are the only Savior!
We would proclaim it near and far
To show the Gospel of Your favor.
